Santa Maria University

We take buses, and shoes, and taxis to a building we will never visit, only to find that it was back where we started. The second building is where it was when Mike had left it two years ago. This is Santa Maria University and its architecture school.

The stairs and hallways approaching the architecture building seem to crisscross and shift the surrounding buildings from stone masonry into glass and steel. The architecture building is open in plan and section with tendril-hallways that fuse the new addition with the original gothic style campus.
Glass partitions divide rooms...the sun-shading is in all the right spots.

It would be great if MSU's architecture building were this vibrantly designed.
