World Heritage Site

Sewell is the largest underground copper mine in the world. A city and a mine established in 1904 by William Braden, an American. Employees lived in the city until 1970. Now the government of Chile ownes the mine and buses up 15,000 employees a day to work in the mines. The city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2006.
